She’s always been “Big” on New York but Penny Marshall is giving up her Manhattan pied-a-terre to move to California full-time.

The “Laverne & Shirley” star, who also directed films like “Big” and “A League of their Own,” is about to list her Upper West Side penthouse for $5.5 million, listing broker Amy Katcher of the Corcoran Group told The Real Deal.

The Bronx native has owned the apartment, at 470 West End Avenue, since the early 1980s, shortly after “Laverne and Shirley” was filmed, and fell in love with its wraparound iron terrace and the views of the Hudson River.

It wasn’t immediately clear what she paid for the co-op, but she was certainly aiming for frugality.

Marshall opted for West End Avenue over Central Park West because she didn’t want to have to “pay a fortune to press her nose up against a window when [she] wanted to look out,” she wrote in the 2012 autobiography, “My Mother Was Nuts.”

The 1,800-square-foot property has two bedrooms and an additional 1,050 square feet of external space. And, for those seeking some old school luxury, the master bathroom has its own fireplace. The 13-story building has 107 units.

“This residence has creative energy, just like its owner,” Katcher said.

Marshall, who has one daughter, Tracy Reiner, is now based in Hollywood.
