UPDATE: March 3, 5:07 p.m.: Douglas Elliman, the city’s largest residential brokerage, is shaking up its rental division – moving former director of rentals Luciane Serifovic to a sales management position and replacing her with Hal Gavzie, formerly of Town Residential.
Serifovic, who was appointed executive director of rentals in February 2014, is now overseeing a sales office on the West Side.
The Brazilian-born Serifovic joined Elliman after a long run at Citi Habitats, where she was a senior managing director from 2007 through 2013. At Citi, she ran the top-producing office at 250 Park Avenue South for several years. The Real Deal named her one of its “rising stars” in 2014.
Last month, the brokerage hired Gavzie, Town’s leasing director, to run its rental division. Serifovic told TRD on Thursday that she was looking to get into sales.
An Elliman spokesperson confirmed the changes were made to get Serifovic involved in sales in a managerial position.
