Manhattan buyers scooped up 21 pads asking $4 million and more last week, a slight bump from the 18 contracts signed a week earlier, according to Olshan Realty’s weekly luxury market report.
For the week of Feb. 1-7, the total weekly asking price sales volume was $140.8 million, with an average asking price of $6.7 million. The average discount was four percent, and the average number of days on market was 199.
The No. 1 contract was a house at 447 Hudson Street, which was asking $18.5 million for a home in need of renovation. The property – comprised of two buildings on a double lot – measures 4,466 square feet and has a restaurant on the ground level. It’s currently configured as four apartments. The prior owner paid $250,000 for the house in 2003 and renovated it.
The No. 2 contract – another house – was at 17 Harrison Street in Tribeca, which was asking $12.995 million, down from $13.5 million when it hit the market in June.
