Following last week’s deadly collapse of a 600-foot crawler crane on Worth St. in New York City during a windy snow storm, Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced increased restrictions, oversight and enforcement when large cranes are operating in the city via a four-point plan.

With the investigation into the cause of the crash still under way, the Mayor has ordered all of the city’s crawler cranes be inspected by the Department of Buildings (DOB)…
