Tishman Speyer has introduced a suite of amenities that aim to lead office tenants to the equilibrium that is work-life balance. The company, with the help of several partners, has introduced Zo, a package of services that covers wellness, backup child care, on-site health screenings, travel planning, community volunteer engagement, personal grooming, rideshares, human resources and catering services.
âZo represents a shift in the mindset of how we run our business and our portfolio,â said Rob Speyer, Chief Executive Officer of Tishman Speyer. âOur most important job is to serve the 250,000 people who work in our buildings each and every day. Instead of defining ourselves by the square feet we own, we will define ourselves by the quarter million people who use the square feet and how well we tend to them.â
The amenities package, which is named after the Greek word for life, has been rolled out at Rockefeller Center. The service partners included in the program are child care firm Bright Horizons, travel agency American Express Global Business Travel, wellness firm Exuberancy, beauty services company GLAMSQUAD, volunteerism portal NYC Service, rideshare firm Via, food delivery company Savory and professional employer organizations JustWorks and TriNet.
Zo either provides access or discounts to companies included in the package. For example, small and medium-sized companies can allot a certain number of emergency child care visits to Bright Horizons for employees. With Zo, the companies can buy access to Bright Horizons at a fraction of the going rate for other child care firms.
Meanwhile, companies can also provide monthly rideshare passes to employees from Via. This gives employees subsidies for their work commutes and discounted fares on weekends.
Tishman Speyer claims to be the first office landlord to offer such an amenities package. The service will be expanded to the companyâs full portfolio. The amenities are currently available to the 30,000 employees in Rockefeller Center. In New York City, Tishman Speyerâs buildings house 80,000 employees.
