Popular Upper East Side fitness concept Crossfit Concrete Jungle signed a lease to open in a new location under a new name.
The gym will be called District Elite Performance when it opens by the end of 2016 at 246 East 94th Street.
The new location is only one block away from former home on the fifth floor of 309 East 94th Street, between First and Second Avenues.
âIt was important to them to remain in the same neighborhood so that they can continue servicing their existing customers while adding on new customers who may not have seen their fifth-floor location but wonât be able to miss them on the ground floor,â said Winick Realty Group director Charles Rapuano, who represented both the tenant and landlord, Brodsky Organization with Winick Realty Group President Steven E. Baker.
District Elite Performance was able to expand their square footage in the relocation, leasing 2,561 s/f on the ground floor, 2,138 s/f in the mezzanine and 1,429 s/f in the basement.
The new location is situated in front of the entrance to the new Second Avenue Subway.
âBrodsky Organization is happy to welcome District Elite Performance to the building and we look forward to a long relationship with them,â said Alexander Brodsky, principal at Brodsky Organization.
This lease marks the completion of leasing efforts at the building, where space was recently taken by Starbucks. Both new tenants join a Chase Bank branch that has been in the building for many years.
