BOND New York has opened a new Harlem location after taking over the local Absolute Properties operation at 1677 Amsterdam Avenue.

Absolute’s 22 agents and two management members, including founder Nathan Grass, have joined BOND.

The move will allow BOND aexpand its residential sales and rentals reach while gaining local brokers who can benefit from the resources of a large firm, according to BOND co-founder Bruno Ricciotti.

He said he has been interested in expanding uptown since 2009. “BOND has been doing north of 100 sales and rentals transactions per month uptown – from Morningside Heights to Inwood and even the Bronx,” Ricciotti explained.

“This is the perfect opportunity for BOND to augment that business with a fully operational office in the area, where we can receive walk-ins and have ample room to display our listings.”

The 2200 s/f fully built corner storefront location on Amsterdam will house at least 40 agents. The space features 120 feet of windows, high ceilings, three private offices and is located three blocks from the major subway express stops on 145th Street. The opening makes BOND the only top ten brokerage with an office between 117th Street and 187th Street
